The Puffin Hike
Stórhöfði is the southernmost point of Heimaey island and home to one of the biggest puffin colonies in the world.
It’s one of my favourite places to hike, not only because of the diverse birdlife but also because of the amazing view.
About the hike
The hike is an easy 3 km loop trail around Stórhöfði.
While walking you’ll see magnificent views of the open ocean, nearby islands and birdlife in the cliffs. Björk, the guide, will stop to let you enjoy the view and tell you stories and facts on the way.
This tour is photo friendly and ideal for families.
